What is a 4D baby scan?
Baby Premier’s 4D ultrasound baby scan gives you a unique opportunity to bond with your unborn baby during pregnancy. We perform all 4D scans using the latest 4D ultrasound machines from GE Healthcare - a world
leader in 2D, 3D and 4D ultrasound scanning systems. All our ultrasound scanners generate real-time moving
images of your baby in the womb. These images can be made at anytime during your pregnancy, however the
more animated facial images and facial movements are generally found between the 26 – 32 week period of
your pregnancy (24 - 28 weeks for twins).
Your baby will have put on weight and there is still enough space in the womb for your
baby to move around, these images will be able to be taken from a more active baby. We would therefore
recommend your 4D scan is performed during this 26 – 32 week period of your pregnancy to secure the best possible image quality (24 - 28 weeks for twins).
