Jo Watson and Jo Parkington are both qualified midwives who have worked in all areas of midwifery provision giving them an intensive knowledge of the NHS maternity services.

As independent midwives they are fully qualified and registered midwives who choose to work outside of the NHS. Their practice is governed by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and their clinical practice is assessed by a midwifery supervisor who is there to ensure their practice remains updated and evidence based by ongoing education and study. This is to ensure that you receive good quality and safe care.

Private antenatal clinic sessions are available on a one to one basis with a fully qualified experienced midwife.

You can experience your antenatal care in a clean and friendly environment.
Appointments can be arranged on a flexible basis and are relaxed and unhurried to allow time, not just for physical assessment of your pregnancy, but also to discuss any fears or anxieties that you may have regarding your pregnancy, birth experience or on becoming new parents.

Sessions can be arranged as a complete antenatal package with the same midwife providing continuity of care throughout or as a ‘one off’ session which would run alongside routine NHS care.

Complete Antenatal Package

You may choose to access antenatal care at The Lindens at any time during your pregnancy, but in order that you receive the best in continuity of care we advise that you book as early as you can in your pregnancy.

From whatever stage you choose to book you will be introduced to your own named midwife who will provide all your antenatal care, including physical assessment of you and your baby.  Each visit allows time to explore choices around your pregnancy and birth and also opportunities to discuss any concerns that you may have.

Your midwife will also be accessible 24 hours a day by mobile phone in case of an emergency.

There would be no need to visit an NHS midwife or GP as everything you need for your antenatal care can be provided
for in our clinic, including routine blood tests and ultrasound scans.

The Antenatal Care Package Price includes: -
• 10 antenatal consultations, including physical assessment of you and your baby, for an hour each
• 24 hour contact with your named midwife

DOES NOT include:
• pathology tests, including blood tests, swabs etc
• ultrasound scans

‘One off’ Antenatal Sessions

You may choose to attend for a ‘one off’ session to receive additional support and information to run alongside routine NHS care, or it may be that you wish a second opinion or an opportunity to discuss any fears or anxieties that you may have. Whatever your reasons for attending you will receive safe, private and good quality care
individualised to meet your needs.
