About Baby Premier

Baby Premier is the obstetric and gynaecological division of SMI (Specialist Medical Imaging Ltd) a medical ultrasound company established in 2004. SMI also works in partnership with the NHS to help levitate waiting times for diagnostic imaging scans. We perform all examinations using the latest ultrasound machines from GE Healthcare - a world leader in 2D, 3D and 4D ultrasound systems (and what are used in the NHS) producing quality imaging capabilities to diagnose patients earlier and with increased confidence.

Baby Premier is not just a 4D image studio, we are a medical ultrasound service that is accredited by the Care Quality Commission the independent regulator of health and social care in England.  Baby Premier offers a full range of obstetric and gynaecological ultrasound examinations to both self-funding and privately insured patients.  All of our staff are covered by the Medical Defence Union (MDU) - the UK's leading medical defence organisation which provides medico-legal advice and assistance and professional indemnity.

Baby Premier also hold established links with The Fetal Medicine Foundation - a registered Charity that aims to improve the health of pregnant women and their babies through research and training in fetal medicine.

We have clinics throughout England (with more planned for 2010) two of which are based at the Alexandra Hospital, Manchester and Harley Street London. The Alexandra Hospital is part of BMI Healthcare, Britain’s leading provider of independent healthcare with nearly sixty acute hospitals nationwide.
